Great place! The host obviously drew upon strong personal experiences to create a place like this. Would definitely recommend and/or book again. Perfect distance to enjoy what Grand Marais has to offer while still offering some relaxing solitude and simplicity.

This place is every bit as magical as the photos. It’s tucked in the trees right across from Lake Superior- we even heard wolves howling at night! The space feels homey and well-equipped. Despite a heavy winter storm, a plow arrived first thing the next morning to clear the untouched snow so we could get out easily, we really appreciated the hosts clear communication and will be returning to stay in their other cabins!

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at this magical tiny home perched near the big lake. The loft and hammock were delightful. We enjoyed some snowshoeing and sauna time after. 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome cozy place. Well designed and so cozy. The morning sun was the best. Sauna was so nice and toasty. I e loved the hause and hope to be back one day!

This was such a cozy retreat cabin! It’s the perfect distance from Grand Marais. Not too far of a drive but still out of the way so it feels like your own private getaway. The cabin is the perfect size for two people and the sauna is awesome ! We will definitely be returning in the summertime!

I will definitely be coming back to Stevie’s place. They were so responsive, so lovely to communicate with, and most of all, their space was beautiful and nestled in the most peaceful woods. We felt like we were the only ones in the area, even though there were nearby neighbors. My favorite part was getting up early, making a cup of coffee, and viewing the stars in the dark sky sanctuary. It felt so peaceful, secluded, but yet safe with others nearby, which is important for me when I take my 9 year old on trips.

If you enjoy an off-the-grid experience, but also want access to all that the city of Grand Marais has to offer, this is your spot. As a Photographer, I wanted access to some of the North Shore's best spots for Landscapes, and this location is actually closer to some of the most magnificent locations on Lake Superior than Grand Marias is. The tiny cabin is super nice, super clean and super secluded in the maple forest that surrounds the area. Dark skies in the evening and beautiful sunrises in the am. You won't be 'roughing it' here, but you will bring in your own potable water, make use of the outhouse (which was also really nice, as outhouses go! lol) Fantastic weekend stay here, and Stevie and Jauni were always there if you need anything. Great hosts...

Beautiful scenery, very well kept cabin❤️ very clean, we loved the swing!! The photos make it look a little bigger than it actually is but very cozy for our 2 day stay! It is secluded but can still hear cars on the highway.

Wonderful anniversary trip for my partner and me! The north shore is dear to both us, and this rental was a great home base for our adventures. We also felt so relaxed after slow mornings reading by the fire, and after sweating it out in the sauna. Thanks again for a lovely stay! :)
